Julie Umerle is a contemporary artist and painter who currently lives and works in East London.  Born in Connecticut, USA and raised in London, she graduated with 1st Class Hons from University College Falmouth, Cornwall, and earned a Masters of Fine Art at Parsons School of Design, New York.

Julie Umerle has received many awards throughout her career as a visual artist, including two awards from the Arts Council England, and a 2001 Gottlieb Foundation award. She has exhibited her paintings in the UK and internationally. Her paintings are held in public and private collections worldwide, with collectors including Deutsche Bank.
